Uppingham & the Villages Through Time

The market town of Uppingham lies in the county of Rutland. With a population a little shy of 4,000 people today, the town has a rich and fascinating history. The Eyebrook Reservoir near Uppingham was used by Lancaster Bombers flying from RAF Scampton as the final practice run for Guy Gibson's famous Dambusters and Barnes Wallis' bouncing bomb.
