Guy Logan had been active as a London journalist during the latter part of the hunt for the Whitechapel murderer, which spanned the years 1888 to 1891, and established contacts with the Scotland Yard detectives investigating the case. What revelations did he have to make in his 1905 novel, when many people still remembered the Autumn of Terror when Jack the Ripper stalked the Whitechapel streets?
