Commissioning Editor - Local History

We are looking for an experienced editor to work part-time, commissioning new books for our thriving local history list.

You will preferably have experience of commissioning books of this kind before and experience of publishing books in series.

The commissioning editor will find new authors to write for our range of illustrated series and liaise with colleagues in our local history team.

Sales Representative London & South East

Amberley Publishing, a medium sized specialist local, transport, and History publisher is looking for experienced field representative for the South East and London. The role will involve calling on established outlets, both trade and non-trade, and the continued management and development of the territory

Freelance Sales Representatives

While we do have our own sales force, anyone who can tap into markets that we do not penetrate is welcome to get in touch. In particular, we are always on the lookout for people looking to merchandise our books into non-bookshop outlets in larger cities, particularly London and Birmingham. Work Experience

Our Work Experience can provide a useful insight into publishing. We offer placements throughout the year in Editorial and Publicity departments, depending on the level of demand and the workload within the business. Work experience is generally unpaid, although we provide a fixed contribution package towards (travel) expenses.
