About the Author:
Cooper Harding is a keen local historian and is Honorary Curator of Thirsk Museum. His association with the museum has provided him with a rich photographic archive, which has assisted him in producing two previous titles on Thirsk and the surrounding area. A native of Dartford, Kent, he has lived with his wife and family in Thirsk since the 90s. He writes and lectures on local history themes and has been able to draw on the museum’s rich photographic archive in producing three books on bygone Thirsk and its surrounding villages.
