After studying for a degree in Politics at Newcastle University, Lindsay Bennett began her freelance career in the 1990s by creating a guide to the Lake District for Berlitz Publishing in the USA. Since then she has written and contributed to over 50 titles on locations in the UK and around the world, working with international publishers including Fodor’s, The AA, Thomas Cook, WH Smith and New Holland Publishing. Exploring history, culture and the quirky characters and characteristics that make a destination unique is what drives her continued fascination with locations near and far.
