Wendy Appleton remembers her childhood during the war and her evacuation as though it were yesterday. As she discussed her memories with her older brother and sister, Brian and Thelma, who were evacuated with her, and started to write them down, everything came flooding back – so much so that at times she was in tears. Wendy now lives in Canada.
